This municipally owned gallery houses more than 25,000 works of art spanning 6,000 years, including ceramics, enamels, Faberge eggs, tapestries and jewelry. Collections include ancient art, medieval art, Renaissance and post-Renaissance sculpture and decorative arts, old masters paintings, 19th century paintings and sculpture, Asian art, illuminated manuscripts, and arms and armor. Food is available.
Open Tuesday through Friday 9am-4pm, Weekends 11am-5pm; closed major holidays.
