Brewer is located in
Penobscot County just southeast of Bangor between Bangor and
Ellsworth along Interstate 395 on the banks of the
Penobscot River near Davis Pond and Brewer Lake.
The population estimate for July 1, 1998 was 8,462, a decrease of 559 since 1990.
