Woodlawn, part of the Ellsworth landscape for 175 years, was once home to three generations of the Black family and is now an historic house museum and public park. It is both an architectural gem and a cultural statement. The collection includes furniture, fine arts, domestic artifacts, personal artifacts, books, photographs, archival material, vehicles, farm implements, horse tack, etc. which were associated with the families of John Black, George Nixon Black, and George Nixon Black, Jr. and their employees, during the time that "Woodlawn" served as their home.
