Maine State Music Theatre started in 1959, offering engaging, live professional performances and outreach opportunities that entertain, educate and enrich lives with power and passion. It is a not-for-profit professional theatre arts based in southern, coastal and central Maine. It takes classes on dance, drama and music for school and college students and assists them in performances and workshops.
