Housed in a restored farmhouse with three main viewing rooms, the Gleason Fine Art has been operating since the mid-1980s. It features 19th and 20th Century Art, contemporary art, Monhegan Island art, sculpture, and photography. Paintings featuring Maine's rugged coast, particularly Monhegan and Mount Desert islands are gallery specialties. The gallery represents a select group of contemporary artists, including realists David Dewey and Chris Nissen, modernists Helen St. Clair and Andrea Peters, dioramist Anne-Emmanuelle Marpeau, impressionists Mitch and Kathleen Billis.
