Stanley Museum'Ingenuity at Work...' |
This museum is a tribute to the creative efforts of the Stanley family, famous for the historic Stanley Steamer automobile, and the traditions of 'Yankee' ingenuity and creativity which they exemplified. Exhibits include models of their steam-powered automobiles, circa 1905, 1910 and 1916; family portraits and photographs; airbrush paintings; and antique violins.
A museum gift shop offers literature and books relating Steam Car history and technical information, as well as Stanley family history as well as other unique items. Open Tuesday-Sunday, hours vary; call for times or appointment for pre-arranged viewing.
