Located on South Huron Street, this museum was built in 1882. The 2 story brick structure, with an attached county jail, served as the seriff's home until 1969. The house's parlor, kitchen, schoolroom and bedrooms are recreated in period style. An exhibit building contains logging and marine displays. The adjoining jail cells contain farming, lumbering and military exhibts and displays of women's clothing. Open Monday through Friday 1pm-4pm in May through October; otherwise by appointment.
