Civilian Conservation Corps Museum |
To put Americans back to work during the Great Depression, the CCC enrolled 100,000 young men to work on conservation and reforestation projects from 1933-1942. With the United States' entry into World War II, the CCC was discontinued. CCC alumni donated to the museum many of the photographs and artifacts depicting their day-to-day life and accomplishments. The site offers picnic areas and trails. Maps are available for self guided tours.
Open daily during the summer months.
