Cloud 9 Sport Aviation

Cloud 9 Sport Aviation was founded by Tracy Tillman in Minnesota in 1980 and re-established in Michigan in 1997. Since it began almost 20 years ago, Cloud 9 Sport Aviation has expanded into a full service mail order business that provides hang gliding equipment, such as hang gliders, harnesses, parachutes, variometers, and helmets. They also carry specialized aerotow equipment such as launch cart kits, releases, bridles, wheels and fins. In fact, Tracy Tillman, who owns Cloud 9 along with his wife, Lisa Colletti, developed an aerotow launch cart which can be purchased from Cloud 9. Models have even been ordered in Europe as well as the United States.

Cloud 9 Field is one of the nicest flying sites in the United States, and is the perfect place to learn to fly a hang glider. It has also proven to be a great site for experienced pilots to fly, with thermal flights lasting many hours and reaching altitudes of over 8000 feet.
