An old historic iron smelting company once operated in this area and is now featured as the centerpiece and point of interest in this park.
There are 80 campsites, all with electric hookups; day use areas, playground and a boat launching site. Fishing for perch, smallmouth bass, northern pike and walleye is popular here.
