Ferndale

Ferndale is in Oakland County, and in the West-Southwest Region (part of the Detroit, Michigan Metropolitan area).

You can locate Ferndale along State Hwy 1, and also east of Oak Park on Troy Sreet.

Ferndale was declared a village in 1918 and as a city in 1927. Ferndale received its name because the area was overgrown with ferns.

Ferndale has a few parks to visit as well as the Ferndale Historical Museum and Ferndale Public Library.
