Oak Park is in
Oakland County, and in the
Southeast Region (part of the
Detroit, Michigan area). This community is located near the Providence Hospital off of I-696 and southwest of
Farmington Hills.
Oak Park was developed from the Oak Park Subdivision. In 1921 the community was incorporated as a village and as a city in 1945. It was given a post office in 1952.
