The park campground has 103 campsites, all with electrical service. There is also a mini-cabin available for rent.

Two miles of Lake Superior sandy beach can be found at this park as well as picnic shelters, some with fireplaces. Other activities include swimming, fishing, hiking and viewing the lighthouse.

Mclain State Park is located eight miles north of Hancock on M-203.
