Flat Rock is in
Wayne County, and in the
Southeast Region. Flat Rock is located just southwest of
Detroit between
Dearborn and
Monroe along US Highway 24 on the banks of the Huron River near the United States/Ontario border and
Lake Erie.
Through the late 1980s the municipality had a population of 6,853 people in an area 6.67 square miles. The ethnicity varied and Flat Rock has 16 churches of various denominations.
