Michigan's Own Inc.Military and Space Museum |
Located on Weiss Street, this museum honors Michigan's military veterans of our nation's six foreign wars. Included are the famed World War I Polar Bears, an army unit based in northern Russia at the end of the war. Also displayed are the uniforms of the state's Medal of Honor recipients as well as the uniforms and flight suites of Michigan's astronauts.
There is also an exhibit about Michigan's POWs and MIAs from the Vietnam and Persian Gulf wars.
Open Monday through Saturday 10am-5pm, Sunday 11am-5pm in March through December.
