Proud Lake Recreation Area contains more than 4,000 acres and is located on the Huron River. Proud Lake is located within this area and is overlooked by a campground containing 130 electric equiped campsites and two mini-cabins. Rainbow and brown trout are available from the Huron River and the area lakes provide bass, pike, sunfish and crappie fishing. During the winter, cross-country skiing is a popular activity.
