In the early nineteenth century, Walker Tavern was a major stopping place for stagecoaches traveling between Detroit and Chicago. The tavern has been restored with period furniture, and along with the visitor center, tell the story of taverns and stagecoach travel for early Michigan residents. There is no camping at this area.
