Redford

Redford is in Wayne County, and in the Southeast Region. This community is located east of Plymouth on I-96 (part of the Detroit, Michigan metro area).

Nineteen year-old Israel Bell and his 15 year-old wife first settled in the Redford area in 1818. Named because of its path where the Indians and early settlers could cross the "rouge" or "red" river.

Today, Redford is mostly a residential city offering many urban advantages to its residents. The city's homes have a variety of architectural styles and large spectrum of price ranges available.
