Stevensville is located in Berrien County, southwest of Kalamazoo between Benton Harbor and New Buffalo along Interstate 94 on the banks of the St Joseph River near the shore of Lake Michigan.

The population estimate for July 1, 1998 was 1,262, an increase of 32 since 1990.

Stevensville is part of the Benton Harbor, Michigan metro area.

The village was platted by Thomas Stevens and was incorporated in 1893. Mr. Stevens was a landowner who donated the right-of-way to the railroad running through Stevensville.

Today, Stevensville is dressed with beautiful parks for fun and relaxation. Art galleries, antique shops and unique restaurants line Red Arrow Highway connecting commuters to and from Stevensville.
