St Joseph is in Berrien County, and in the West-Southwest Region. This community is located southwest of Kalamazoo between Benton Harbor and Union Pier along Interstate 94 on the banks of the St Joseph River near the shore of Lake Michigan. The population estimate for July 1, 1998 was 66, an increase of 0 since 1990.

St. Joseph is filled with unique shopping, quaint cafes, and breathtaking views of the lake. The downtown region is known for its distinctive brick-paved roads and easy-going manner, and is home to such festivities as the Blossomtime Parade, Venetian Festival, and the Krasl Art Fair.
