Westland is located in Wayne County, off of Hwy 153 east of Canton (is part of the Detroit, Michigan metropolitan area).Westland, Michigan's 10th largest city, is committed to being a family style community. Westland strives to have a diverse economy that values residential development and manufacturing as well as retail and service businesses. The City has 17 parks covering 2,332 acres of land ranging in size from neighborhood playgrounds to the 100-acre Central City Park.
