Ballet Arts Minnesota, located at the Hennepin Center for the Arts, provides professional dance training to students and audiences of all backgrounds. It stages ballet performances in traditional and contemporary forms. Fundamental classes combine elements of motor skills, dance vocabulary, rhythm and self-expression with an introduction to the principles of classical ballet and modern dance. It provides opportunities for exercise, stretching and toning of the body and an appreciation of dance as an art form in a noncompetitive atmosphere.
