Now in its 30th season, the Grand Marais Playhouse is a non-profit community theatre dedicated to offering high quality theatre and educational opportunities, with an emphasis on artistic challenge, diversity, community, and collaboration. The playhouse, supported by members and volunteers, was assisted by 116 volunteer actors and actresses who performed at the Arrowhead Center for the Arts during the 2000 theatre season. The Playhouse emphasizes student and adult education in the Arts, and encourages active participation in all aspects of the theatre experience.
