Glenwood is located in Pope County (of which it is the county seat) west of St Cloud along Highway 28 south of Alexandria. Minnewaska Lake is nearby, in the West Central Lakes Region. The population estimate for July 1, 1998 was 2,622, an increase of 49 since 1990.
