This park is the perfect playground any time of year, offering swimming, boating, fishing, birdwatching, hiking, camping, biking, picnicking, snowmobiling, cross-country skiing, and year-round naturalist-led activities. Showy bog specimens highlight the grounds; most bog flowers bloom late spring and early summer. Entrance to the park is off County State Aid Highway 20. Year-round park facilities include vault toilets and campgrounds with 43 electric sites; one campsite is maintained all winter, other sites available on a walk-in or ski-in basis after deep snow cover. No electricity at winter sites. Drinking water available year-round at the park office. Seasonal facilities include flush toilets, showers, dump station. Paul Bunyan Trail open for summer use; summer boat rentals available, contact park office. Reservations recommended holidays & weekends; no reservations needed November 1-April 1.
