Luverne is located in
Rock County (of which it is the county seat) in the southwest corner of the
Historic Prairies Region on US 75 just above I-90. It is on the Rock River near Blue Mounds State Park.
The population estimate for July 1, 1998 was 4,440, an increase of 58 since 1990.
