Ely is located 250 miles northeast of Minneapolis/St. Paul
and 120 miles northeast of Duluth. Take Highways U.S. 53 and Minnesota 169 from Duluth to Ely.
Lodge of Whispering Pines provides different kinds of cabins with modern facilities. Activities include bird watching, fishing, wildlife viewing, and photography in spring season. Canoeing, camping, pedal boats, and wildlife viewing are some of the summer activities. Winter activities consist of dog sledding, cross country, skiing, snowshoeing, and ice skating.
