Saint Marys Hospital is one of two Mayo hospitals in
Rochester. It contains 1,157 licensed beds and 53 operating rooms. Among the areas unique to the hospital are: Neurosurgery, including sterotactic and gamma knife treatment. Cardiac treatment, including heart and lung transplant. Emergency Department, including Mayo One, Minnesota's first air ambulance service. Rehabilitation unit specializing in care of stroke, spinal cord injury, traumatic brain injury patients. Ventilator Dependence Unit for weaning patients off ventilators as well as Eight intensive care units.
