The Cook County North Shore Hospital & Care Center is a not-for-profit institution providing inpatient, outpatient and long term care services. The facility is licensed for 16 hospital beds and 47 nursing home beds. It is staffed with 107 employees providing service to all Cook County residents and visitors, 24 hours a day, 365 days a year. Cook County North Shore Hospital & Care Center is a county-owned facility, operating as a hospital district under Minnesota statutes. The facility is governed by a five-member elected board of directors.
