In the
Historic Prairies Region, Olivia is the seat of
Renville County. At the junction of US 12 with Hwy 13, Olivia is Minnesota's Corn Capital, and the largest town in Renville County. The population estimate for July 1, 1998 was 2,557, a decrease of 66 since 1990.
