In the Historic Prairies Region, Tyler is located in Lincoln County. Offering country living steeped in Danish tradition, Tyler is home to the Nissemnd and bleskiver. It lies on US 14 just east of South Dakota, and Lake Benton. The population estimate for July 1, 1998 was 1,204, a decrease of 53 since 1990.
