This district contains an 1870 railroad depot, caboose, railroad park, the original W.H. Library--one of the oldest libraries in the state--and a museum located in the old Durley Hotel, which is open year-round and free.
The Hudson City School, Approx. 1 mi. NW of MO 52 and Hwy. W, Appleton City vicinity is listed in the National Register of Historic Places.
