Louis Bolduc was a wealthy merchant, planter, and miner. His home is one of the few remaining examples of 18th-century French Colonial houses in the Mississippi Valley. The restored 1785 house includes the sill and stone foundation, massive trussed roof, 18th-century garden, enclosed galerie and stockade fence.
