This 2,430-acre lake has varied recreational opportunities mostly concentrated at
Long Branch State Park, where the facilities include a swimming beach, marina and full-service campgrounds. Visitor Center at the dam. The scenic hills surrounding the lake provide hunting, hiking and sightseeing in the 4,500 acres of public lands around the upper edge. On the water there's skiing, boating and fishing for catfish, bass and crappie. Lodging is closeby in the nearby towns of Macon, Atlanta and Bevier.
