Located on the south side of the
Lake of the Ozarks State Park, Ozark Caverns offer visitors a unique opportunity to view what lies beneath the Ozark hills. Cave formations such as the 'Angel Showers' are featured on a cave tour conducted with hand held lanterns, as well cave occupants like bats and salamanders. Tours are available daily during June, July and August and on Saturdays and Sundays in April-May and September-October. Cave is closed November-March. A self-guided nature trail takes visitors through Coakley Hollow Natural Area which features an authentic 'fen,' or small glade with a spring-fed stream. A visitor center and picnic area are located nearby.
