This 2,993-acre state park overlooks the Lake of the Ozarks, one of nature's geologic and scenic masterpieces. Park land is a classic example of a topography know as Karst, highlighted by caves, sinkholes, springs and natural bridges. Other park features are towering limestone bluffs and an outstanding savanna area, the remains of huge stone castle on the property add a sense of mystery to the wooded surroundings. Two courtesy docks are provided within the park for visitors who enjoy local boating, and is designed for day-use activities such as hiking and picnicking. Located five miles southwest of Camdenton, off Hwy 54.

Heart of America Shakespeare Festival Kansas City MO June18-July7 The Heart of America Shakespeare Festival is set under the stars in South Moreland Park near Nelson Atkins Museum of Art. It is a perfect way to spend a summer evening with family and friends. They have several programs to study and explore such as Speaker's Bureau and Poster and Sonnet Contest. The faculty includes theatre professionals, actors, and educators experienced in performing and teaching Shakespeare. Many of the instructors are veterans of festival productions.
