Auburn

Auburn is in Duncan Park at Duncan Avenue. This 1812 two-story, red brick mansion with white columns was one of the most elaborate of its time. A freestanding spiral staircase accentuates the interior, which has undergone careful restoration. The house is furnished in period.

Open Monday through Saturday 9:30am-1pm, Sunday 1:30pm-4pm. This home is a mixture of a Federal style and an old Georgian style. It is a National Historic Landmark and was constructed by architect Levi Weeks for wealthy attorney Lyman Harding. The interior of the house is also a delightful mixture of styles and fashions. Tours are given daily
