Located on Washington Street, this mansion is built on the banks of the Mississippi River 1840-58 and was damaged by shells from Union gunboats during the siege of
Vicksburg. A cannonball remains lodged in a parlor wall. The house has a large collection of period antiques along with many original furnishings, including gas chandeliers, marble mantels, a hidden safe and a Regina music box.
