Located on Lake Avenue, this circa 1718 building, while not a Spanish fort, is the oldest structure still standing in the Mississippi Valley. An adjacent museum houses 18th century items, American Indian artifacts and a children's hands-on exhibit. The grounds, a picnic area and a cemetery overlook Krebs Lake.
