This large brick mansion was built circa 1820, near the former site of the French Fort Rosalie. The house served as the local headquarters for the Union Army during the Civil War, and is a National Historic Landmark. Open daily. Located on the Mississippi Bluff near the site of the Natchez Indians' massacre of the French at Fort Rosalie. It was the headquarters of the Union Army during the War Between the States. Owned by the Mississippi State Society DAR.
