Browning is located in Glacier County 31 miles west of Cut Bank between East Glacier Park and Blackfoot along US 89/2 near Glacier National Park. It is headquarters of the Blackfeet Nation, and is home to the Museum of the Plains Indian. In 1990 the population of Browning was approximately 1,170.
