The trail crawls along a section of the Centennial Mountains from
Monida to Red Rock Pass, passing through some of the most scenic country in SW Montana. It is a scenic component of the National Trails System. The trailhead may be best accessed at Red Rock Pass on the gravelled Red Rock Pass Road off Highway 20, south of
Henry's Lake in Idaho.
