Forsyth is the seat of
Rosebud County and lies 46 miles west of
Miles City where US 12 meets I-94.
On the banks of the Yellowstone River and the Lewis and Clark Trail, Forsyth offers area history at the Pioneer Museum and the Rosebud County Courthouse, which is listed on the National Register. The three-story, neoclassical building is capped with an ornate copper dome. Inside are murals and stained glass.
