The seat of Custer County, Miles City is located 46 miles northeast of Forsyth on I-94 on the banks of the Yellowstone River near Roche Jaune Recreation Area. Miles City is a classic Western town, most famous for its annual celebration of cowboy culture - the Miles City Jaycee Bucking Horse Sale.Miles City is located at the confluence of the Yellowstone and the Tongue River.
