The Heritage Museum is a 12-sided log structure, 130 feet in diameter. Its exhibits portray the varous people that came into the area--Kootenai Indians, trappers, miners, lumbermen, women. There is a small house, furnished in turn-of-the-century styles, an art gallery, exhibits by the Forest Service, mining interests, and timber industries. Other buildings located on the grounds include old mine milling, lumbering, old agricultural machinery, and a Shay locomotive. Open June, July and August. Half a mile south of the city.
