In 1922 Dr. Will Thornton and Dr. Charles Thornton established the 42-bed Thornton Hospital. They offer 24-hour, physician-staffed, emergency department, acute medical and surgical hospital adult intensive care, pediatric intensive care, obstetrics, neonatal intensive care, pediatrics, laboratory services, radiology services, nuclear medicine and respiratory therapy. They also have a Joint Reconstruction Center, The Montana Heart Center, The Breast Center, Community Rehabilitation Center, First Care (three facilities) primary care and specialty physicians.
