The first high school building in
Great Falls, constructed in 1896 of magnificent huge sandstone blocks. Named after the founder of Great Falls. The building served for 34 years as Central High School and for 45 years as Paris Gibson Square Junior High, before closing its door in 1975. In 1977, community volunteers reopened the building as Paris Gibson Square Museum of Art. The Museum has provided a dynamic program of exhibitions, classes, lectures, tours, performances designed to nurture the region's creative spirit. The Museum's focus in its collections and exhibitions is to modern and contemporary art from the northwestern United States.
