Sheepshead is an expanse of grassy meadows and sagebrush, with several streams and a small lake all surrounded by lodgepole pine forest. With features and facilities which are accessible to almost everyone. The recreation area include pavilions, picnic tables, barbecue grills, horseshoes, a fishing pier, nature trail, volleyball court, ball fields and paved trails. Located 8 miles north of Butte off Interstate 15 at the Elk Park Exit, then 9 miles west on USFS Road #442.
