The seat of
Prairie County, Terry is located 38 miles northeast of
Miles City on I-94 on the banks of the
Yellowstone River. Nearby Lady Cameron Museum features photos of eastern Montana as seen through the eyes of a pioneer British immigrant (1894-1928). Prairie County Museum, housed in the old State Bank of Terry, is filled with horse and buggy equipment, household and business antiques. Also nearby are the Terry Badlands.
