Valier is located in
Pondera County 25 miles northwest of
Conrad along Hwy 44 on the Dupuyer River. This small town has a big lake, Lake Frances, that offers year-round recreation opportunities including ice-boating in winter. The lake was built in 1909 for irrigation.
